Brief History: Sofia was a very sweet, naive young girl who was very friendly with just about everyone that she met. But that was all before her mother passed away and she was forced to move to America and live with her father. She used to be miss popular with tons of friends, but the students at her new school made fun of her for a peppy attitude and her freakish nature. Thankfully Charles Xavier came along and invited her his school for mutants. This event left Sofia slightly jaded about the human race, and the possibility of making new friends at the new school she was heading to. She doesn't trust easily and it has made her a bit of a isolationist, even though she has been at the school for three years now. She has managed to make a few friends, but for the most part she prefers to be by herself or with a small group of friends.
She loves her powers and she feels that they are one of the biggest parts of who she is. She does believe in using her gifts for the benefit of mankind. She has remarkable teamwork skills, despite her trust issues. She is ferocious in battle, and her teammates know that they can always depend on her. She is very brave and street smart, and because of everything that she has been through in her young life she is also very mature for her age.
Sofia is very intelligent, but she was never very fond of school. It's not that she doesn't like to study, she doesn't always like to study what the teachers think that she should. One of the things that most people would never guess about her is that she loves to read classic romance novels. They are her escape from the world around her, so anytime she is upset about something she heads to the library to check out one of her many favorites. She is a romantic at heart, but she never lets this side of herself shine out, because she doesn't think people would like that about her.
List of Abilities/Powers/Skills: Sofia has the power to control air in her surroundings; she has developed several abilities for the use of her powers, both offensive and defensive. She can use the wind around her to propel herself through the air, granting flight. She can also use the winds to bring faraway sounds to her or to create an area of silence. Offensively she can send blasts of air at an opponent, which can slash and burn their skin. She can also fire a blast of compressed air into an opponents ear which will disrupt their balance. She has the potential for many other abilities, but she she is still young and therefore still learning.
Lift of Weakness/Character Flaws: She isn't very trusting of people, and she doesn't handle authority well. When it comes to her powers she is still somewhat insecure with the finer points; she can't create a big area of silence without complete focus. Having to focus so hard on that leaves her vulnerable to other forms of attack.
